Tour Plan
Day 1 - Cochin - Munnar
Arrive in cochin airport pick up from the airport and drive to Munnar hills (130 kms / 4 hrs). Enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check in at Hotel and relax. Overnight in Hotel
Day 2- Munnar
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Some of them are Maduppatty dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3- Munnar - Thekkady
Morning have breakfast at hotel later check out hotel and drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called as Periyar. On arrival check in Hotel Afternoon proceed for a game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc evening you can take a Elephant ride at Periyar wild life and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4- Thekkady - Kumarakom
Morning after lavish breakfast drive to Kumarakom covering a distance of 125 kms / 04 hrs. On arrival check-into hotel. Afternoon visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary(Optional). There you can spot King fisher, Wood peeker, Drongo, Egrets, Bee-caters etc. Relax and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 5- Kumarakom - Alleppey
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alappuzha. Once reaching Alappuzha, Check-in to the Hotel. Welcome Drink will be served. Alappuza has always enjoyed an important place in the maritime history of Kerala. Today, it is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays , beaches , marine products and coir industry. Enjoy boating through Vembanad Lake seeing the sights. The pier, which extends into the sea here is over 137 year old. Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park add to the attraction of the beach. There is also an old lighthouse nearby which is greatly fascinating to visitor.
Evening Tea/Coffee will be served with delicious Kerala snacks.
When the sun sets, the cruise will be anchored on the banks. You can enjoy your dinner in the House Boat and proceed to sleep
Day 6 - Alleppey - Cochin
Morning have breakfast at hotel later check out Hotel proceed for Cochin. On arrival at Cochin poceed for sightseeing i.e. In Cochin Visit the Dutch Palace-built by the Portuguese in 1557 and subsequently renovated by the Dutch after 1663. The murals are perhaps the best in India. Jewish Synagogue – built in 1568 and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth are at Mattancherry. St. Francis Church – built in 1510 and the oldest European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin. Fort Cochin Beach etc and then you will be drop to Railway station/ Airport.
